NB: There will be no replies to emails received from parents and grown-ups regarding scholarships. And applications received after the deadline date Will Not Be Received. Applicants will be notified of the benefactors and the amount of the scholarship after 60 days of the deadline date.

Requirements For The Mayflower Scholarship
For an applicant to be regarded for a Mayflower Scholarship, the Application form must include a proper GSMD membership number for either the applicant himself or for his parent, grandparent, or great-grandparent of the applicant.
Note: that the membership number submitted must be for a living person who is currently an active GSMD member.
Also, the Member Society membership number must also be added.
Documents can be submitted by parents and the applicant must be 18 years and above to become a member of GSMD in other to obtain a current GSMD membership number, you have to begin work as early as possible with the Mayflower Historian in their state of residence to finish this process. Also, you will be asked to list your Mayflower Ancestor(s) from the ship.
All scholarship applicants:
- must be a graduating senior
- must provide the info asked for the application
- must enroll in a 4-year college or university or 2 years community college
- will be asked to provide a test score and percentage from the SAT or ACT.
In the heart of the Mayflower immigrants seeking fine living by moving to a new and uncharted world, special consideration will be given to applicants who have exhibited a responsibility to better themselves.
Applicants are urged to add “Letters of Recommendation” from their teachers or prominent people in the community.
Scholarship Amount
The Mayflower Scholarship Program annually gives each: $6000, $4000, $3000, and $2000 scholarships, depending on the availability of charity money to graduating high school who are Mayflower descendants. A gift toward the scholarship program helps their ability to provide aid to more youthful descendants. The scholarship monies must be utilized for education, fees, and/or books.
